Environmental Policy Statement
Scope
All activities, services and locations under the control of ParagonQMS, including office-based work, remote and hybrid working, client site visits, training delivery, supplier engagement and use of the ParagonQMS client portal infrastructure.
Our commitment
ParagonQMS recognises that, even as a knowledge-based consultancy, our day-to-day activities have an environmental impact through travel, energy use, digital infrastructure, paper and consumables. We are committed to protecting the environment, preventing pollution where it is within our influence, and continually improving our environmental performance in line with the principles of ISO 14001:2015.
What we commit to
- Complying with all applicable environmental legislation, regulations and other requirements relevant to our activities.
- Identifying and managing the environmental aspects and impacts of our consultancy, travel and digital operations.
- Reducing avoidable travel by defaulting to remote delivery via the ParagonQMS client portal where it serves the client equally well.
- Using energy, paper, print and consumables responsibly, and reusing or recycling where practical.
- Selecting suppliers, hosting providers and partners who demonstrate responsible environmental practices wherever feasible.
- Setting and reviewing environmental objectives at management review.
How we deliver this
- Defaulting to digital documentation, e-signature and portal-based collaboration to reduce printing and shipping.
- Planning client visits and audits to minimise unnecessary travel and combine activities where possible.
- Encouraging public transport, low-emission travel and remote attendance for meetings and workshops.
- Reviewing our hosting, devices and software choices with environmental impact in mind alongside security and performance.
- Promoting environmental awareness across our team and supporting clients who wish to develop their own environmental management systems.
Responsibilities
Top management is responsible for the implementation, communication and review of this policy. All personnel, associates and subcontractors working on behalf of ParagonQMS are expected to act in line with its principles and to raise environmental risks, incidents and improvement ideas through the appropriate channels.
Review and authority
This policy statement is reviewed at least annually, and whenever significant changes occur to the business, its services, applicable legislation, or interested-party requirements. It is communicated to all ParagonQMS personnel and made available to clients, prospective clients and other interested parties.
Signed on behalf of ParagonQMS by the Managing Director. The controlled, signed version is held by ParagonQMS and available on request.
